The research is focused on case studies from forestry, biodiversity, water and waste management in Ukraine, illustrating development of sustainable and climate-proof communities, and development of policies and implementation practices in the light of relevant EU experiences or case studies. Particular attention is given to the development of science-policy interfaces and systems for environmental monitoring, reporting and verification. The research specifically reflects on applicability of EU practices in Ukraine.
